Dr. Danny Méndez Shares Legacy of Trailblazing Dominican Immigrant During Hispanic Heritage Lecture on Sept. 16

Dr. Danny Méndez will present a lecture of “Dancing with Memory: Normandía Maldonado, Cultural Activism and the Making of Dominican Identity in the U.S.,” during Hope College’s 2025 Hispanic Heritage Month Lecture on Tuesday, Sept. 16, at 3:30 p.m. in the concert hall of the Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts. The public is invited and admission is free.

Hope College Welcomes Students In Its 164th Academic Year, Starting Aug. 25

Hope College is about to begin its 164th academic year, with 857 new members of the incoming Class of 2029 arriving on Thursday, Aug. 21 for new student orientation. The remaining students will return on Saturday, Aug. 23 – ready to start the new fall semester on Monday, Aug. 25.
